Episode 152 | Keep or Kill: Meetings (Part 2)

Question

Hey, Work Wives. This is Jillian from Tallahassee. So I'm in a bunch of meetings, but I don't feel like anything gets done. And I hear about things last minute that are due. Um, and I just feel like we're a big enough company that we should be more ahead than that. And in fact, I was in a meeting with a bunch of people, maybe a month or two ago, and I hadn't done anything on it since. And then I just got a ping yesterday that this deliverable is due tomorrow. And I thought, so in that meeting, I was just being a sounding board, you know? So how do I account for this and maybe like, how do I make meetings more productive? Thanks.

Summary

Not all meetings are created equal. But no matter their type, attendees, or level of success, it may be time for you to commandeer the situation. Your new mantra? “I’m the captain now.”
