Episode 47 | Don’t Overthink Your Performance Review

Question

Hey Work Wives, it's Savannah from Pearland. I started a new job at the end of last year and my boss is requiring quarterly performance reviews until I've hit the one year mark. I like the idea, but I just feel so unprepared each time we sit down to do my evaluation. How am I supposed to be preparing for performance reviews?

Summary

Wondering how to ace your performance review?

First, remember that not everything in life is testing your ambition. Even for women who want more out of corporate America, performance reviews are basically a pulse-check: are you alive? Are you doing your job?

Report on what you’ve done, give your manager what they need to submit a glowing review to HR, and set some 90-day goals. Above all: don’t overthink it.
