Episode 176 | "Hello, I'm Unemployed"

Question

Hey, Work Wives, it's Danielle from Madison, Wisconsin. Um, I have been unemployed for a while, but I'm starting to go to some networking events and I realized, stupidly, that when you go to networking events, one of the first things that you answer is the question, "What do you do?" And I found myself saying I'm unemployed, and I didn't, well, I didn't like it, but I'm wondering if I should. Anyway, that's my question for you, is like, should I tell people I'm unemployed at a networking event?

Summary

Pro tip for networking events: don’t advertise that you’re unemployed. Instead, showcase what you do, how you think, and what you can bring to the table.
