Episode 143 | Career Exploration (There Are Steps)

Question

Hey Work Wives, this is Lydia down in New Zealand. I have a question for a friend. He is a mid-career professional. He's been doing some management work for a lot of years and he's well outgrown his current job. The trouble is he doesn't know exactly what he wants to transition into. I know about informational interviews, but I'm wondering what ideas or suggestions you guys have on doing career exploration as an adult.

Also, I'm trying to convince him that he has all these amazing transferable skills, because he does, but I need a little bit of help explaining what exactly his transferable skills are, and helping him see himself in a more, in a broader way. What do you think?

Summary

At a career crossroads? It’s time to identify your transferable skills… And deconstruct your limiting beliefs.
